Our love of beer started early on, waaaaay before we knew what good beer was, and has led both of us to pursue full time careers in the craft beer industry. Currently, we are the brewers at Barley Naked Brewing Company, located in Stafford, Virginia – so we take quality control (beer tasting) quite seriously. We often hold tasting sessions with local homebrewers and craft beer fanatics with brews from across the United States and even around the world. Some of these beers are so delicious and so difficult to find that they deserve to be celebrated. Likewise, some of the beers we taste are…unpleasant. We created The Beer Junkies to write honest craft beer reviews, share recipes, and most importantly, have an excuse to drink more beer.
Meet The Beer Junkies

Brady Fox
I began as Head Brewer at Barley Naked Brewing Co in March 2020. Since then, we have earned a Bronze GABF medal in the Sweet/Cream Stout category, along with a couple of silver and bronze medals at the Virginia Beer Cup. I graduated from James Madison University with a B.S. in Engineering. It was there that I first fell in love with the brewing process through a 3-course elective program titled Brewery Engineering. It was led by Dr. Samuel Morton III and Dr. Steven Harper. After completing the sequence, I became the Brewery Scholar for the Engineering Department’s 10-gallon electric brewery system. I started as the assistant brewer at Barley Naked the summer before my last year and continued on the weekends during the academic year. As soon as the coronavirus pushed everything online I moved back home and began as head brewer.

I am the Assistant Brewer at Barley Naked Brewing Co. I graduated from UVA in 2018 with a B.A. in English with a concentration in Poetry. After realizing a life of working in an office and commuting on 95 was sucking the soul from my body, I quit my job to work in my family’s brewery. I quickly found that the long hours, sweat-drenched days, and grunt work was worth it. Not only for the delicious craft beer but also for the awesome people I’ve met in the industry. My passion for beer has quickly grown from a base-level repulsion (I was a wine-only girl for a while – don’t hate me) to an undying and completely biased devotion to it. Combining my passion of writing with beer to provide you with honest craft beer reviews seems like a perfect hobby – and a good excuse to drink more beer.
